The day I made it

Black Sand Beach, Maui

This is Waiʻānapanapa, the black sand beach near the end of the Road to Hana. The sand is black and warm, the water comes in turquoise and goes out white, and the lava rock just stops the beach cold on the right side of the frame. I've never seen color sit against black like that anywhere else.
