The day I made it

Merry-Go-Round Rock at Sunset, Sedona

This was the year Julie and I got married. Her parents were back and forth to Arizona that year helping with wedding prep, and one evening we took them up Schnebly Hill Road to Merry-Go-Round Rock. The road is more rock than road, and nobody minded. We got there as the sun dropped behind the ridge, and the whole valley went warm for a minute. It was a really good night. I've been back to Sedona a lot since, and this is still the frame I keep coming back to.
